Mezipatra is coming to Brno! Everything starts at 4 PM at the Scala cinema on November 16th. The opening of the 19th Mezipatra festival will be presented by the popular moderator and stand-up comedian Adéla Elbel, followed by the Austrian film L'animal by Katharina Mückstein. Stylish drama with a dynamic story revealing her own sexuality and gender was introduced this year at Berlinale, where she was nominated for the Teddy Award. We recommend staying after the movie because the wildest Animal party will break out, where you can release your inner animal!

We have celebrated the closing of Prague part of the festival and we waved good-bye to our great foreign guests. We awarded the winning films - the best feature film We the Animals and the best short film Pre-Drink and danced to the music at Show Us Some Love party. But we are not done yet! Mezipatra in Brno officially start with the opening ceremony on Friday, November 16 at Scala cinema from 7:00 p.m. But in the mean time you can already visit the exhibition Beyond Reality at the Café Bar Scala. We look forward to seeing you!

We have great, almost hard-to-believe news for you. There are a few more tickets left for the closing ceremony of the Prague part of the festival from 8:00 p.m. in Lucerna. You will find out what film was awarded the best feature film by the main jury and which short film chose the student jury. Then we will screen the Swedish classic Show Me Love that celebrates twenty years.

You have shown tremendous interest in the film Sauvage which competes for the jury's main award. We have therefore added two new screenings on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 7:00 p.m. and 7:20 p.m. at the Pilotů cinema. Buy your tickets now!

Opening ceremony with the Austrian film L'Animale is hopelessly sold out, but do not cry, you will not miss the Wildlife party that follows it! And before that, you can go see the film God's Own Country, which won you the audience award last year.

Celebrate the diversity of life! A wild party Ouch on the Couch - DRAG TOUCH! where you can experience the atmosphere of New York and the iconic club kids will take place on Nov. 13, 8:30 p.m. at Patra. Those who know films such as Party Monster, the sex-filled Shortbus and the exquisite The Rocky Horror Picture Show already have a hunch about the style of the evening.

Do you want to know everything about what we plan on this year? And do you like to open something beautiful instead of your computer with your coffee? Buy our catalog! You will find screening times, film annotations, jury bios, accompanying program, and lots more.

Once again, Mezipatra Queer Film Festival will welcome numerous international guests. One of them will be the director and screenwriter Steve McLean. He will introduce his Postcards from London, a film about the attractive world of male escorts who re-create from their bodies live pictures by old painting masters.

In the main competition this year, 10 amazing pictures from around the world are waiting for you. Traditionally, we will get back to the movie classics in the retrospective section and on top of that we have some news for you! After five years, we will bring you a special section Focus: Family exploring the concept of family, family relationships, and parenthood through non-competitive films. We cannot wait and you?

The section of short films will introduce 31 films from 17 countries divided into six thematic blocks. Six thematic blocks will bring relationship comedies, dramas, and also erotic fantasies. The section, judged by an international student jury, is very popular with the viewers every year.
